Bangladesh Floods - Emergency Appeal

Our brothers and sisters in Bangladesh are once again facing a devastating humanitarian crisis.

Nu'man b. Bashir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.

Relentless monsoon rains have devastated communities across Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, Moulvibazar and surrounding districts. Entire villages have been submerged, families have lost their homes, and more than one million people have been affected. The floods have also devastated the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, leaving thousands of already vulnerable refugees in urgent need of assistance.

According to humanitarian organisations, over 1.1 million people have been affected, more than 267,000 households have been impacted, at least 51 people have lost their lives, and thousands have been displaced. Many communities remain isolated as floodwaters continue to inundate roads and essential infrastructure.

For countless families, everything they worked for has been washed away. Homes have collapsed, crops have been destroyed, livestock have been lost, and access to clean drinking water has become increasingly difficult. Children are at risk of hunger and waterborne diseases, while elderly and vulnerable people urgently require shelter and medical assistance.
