Mini Food Addict’s Water Projects for the needy

FA Food Addict is raising money for Ready Steady Ride London 26
Mini Food Addict’s Water Projects for the needy

My story

Bismillah. ‘Make the intention, make dua and leave the rest to Allah.’ Nana January 2024

Last year, with all your incredible support, our children’s charity project raised £1,115 enough to fund 4 water pumps around the world (Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Nepal). Clean water changes everything. It brings health, dignity and ease to families who need it most.

This year, let’s do even more together, insha’Allah.

May Allah forgive our loved ones who have returned to You, grant them light and peace in their graves, elevate their ranks in Jannah and reunite us with them in the highest levels of Paradise. Ameen.

We will be taking part in Ready Steady Ride where we will hopefully cycle from 1 to 5 miles in aid of water projects around the world

MILLIONS HAVE NO WATER

Imagine waking up everyday knowing that the water you drink could kill you.

For nearly one-third of the planet, this is a grim reality. In Pakistan, water scarcity has pushed millions to the edge, with rivers drying up and agriculture failing. In Yemen, where conflict has decimated infrastructure, 18 million people are left begging for the most basic necessity—clean water. In Bangladesh, arsenic poisoning in contaminated water silently devastates entire communities, and in Uganda, climate change is turning life-giving streams into barren dust.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. Every year, unsafe water steals the lives of over 446,000 children—each death preventable. Blindness from diseases like trachoma robs millions of hope and dignity, while families trek for hours each day just to find a drop of water. As climate crises escalate, the situation grows more desperate. These aren’t just statistics; they’re real lives—mothers, fathers, and children—on the brink of survival.

This crisis can’t wait. Time is running out for millions who face thirst, disease, and death every single day. The urgency to act has never been greater.
