Pedal 4 Orphans supports the Umrah for Orphans initiative. Every participant's fundraising efforts help sponsor an orphan's Umrah while providing ongoing support throughout the year. Your fundraising invests in their faith, education, sports, and future, creating a lasting impact and serving as a continuous Sadaqah Jariyah.

WHAT IS PEDAL 4 ORPHANS?

Pedal 4 Orphans is a flagship Cycling challenge from Unique Children's Charity in partnership with Global Ehsan Relief. Now being the third year Alhamdulillah, participants from across the globe will be taking part in this gruelling epic journey from Makkah to Madinah, covering a phenomenal distance of over 550km between two of Islam's holiest of cities.

The Pedal 4 Orphans challenge directly supports the Umrah for Orphans initiative. Every participant's fundraising efforts help sponsor orphaned children for this life-changing pilgrimage while providing them with ongoing support throughout the year, investing in their faith, education, sports, and future.

Every rider commits to raising £3,000, to sponsor orphaned children on the journey of a lifetime to perform Umrah. But the impact doesn't end there. Your fundraising continues to support them long after they return home by investing in their faith, education, sports, wellbeing, and future.

This journey symbolises the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who migrated from Makkah to Madinah in search of safety and the freedom to practise his faith. The Annual Hijrah Ride supports orphaned children affected by war, poverty, and trauma by giving them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform Umrah. Beyond the pilgrimage, the initiative provides ongoing support throughout the year, investing in their faith, education, sports, and future - creating a lasting legacy of Sadaqah Jariyah, Insha'Allah.

We Will Cycle Through the Dunes of Saudi Arabia: A unique challenge that combines physical endurance with a profound cultural experience. Cycle through the breath-taking dunes of Saudi Arabia and visit the two holiest cities in Islam, immersing yourself in the rich history of The Hijrah.

For many of us, performing Umrah is a sacred journey to Makkah and a deeply personal experience. For orphaned children, it is an opportunity to strengthen their faith, find hope, and begin healing from the trauma of war, loss, and hardship.

For many, it will be their first time travelling outside their home country and a chance to experience the unity of the Ummah. This journey has the potential to change their lives forever, Insha'Allah.
